037: The Friend Zone, Pulling The Trigger, and Real Fights (feat. Carmen and Jamal Craft & Katie and Derek Steele)

How many of you have been in the pursuit of a romantic relationship when, much to your surprise, you found yourself dumped in the "friend zone"? It's an awkward place to be, isn't it? Well this week on "Win Today," I want to find out how guys get sent to the friend zone, if they can ever get out, and what they can do to most effectively "pull the trigger" on a prospect. We're also going to talk about how guys and girls can better position themselves for successful romantic relationships and what each person can do to remain a contributor instead of a "taker" in the context of a relationship.

In this episode, you’ll discover…

  • Great mentors are necessary for the successful navigation of the relationship, especially early on.
  • From the time women are little girls, they dream of their wedding. As a result, it’s absolutely prudent to learn how to rein in your thought life and emotions concerning the actual state of the relationship. In essence, emotionally, you could be at a “10” when the relationship is actually at a “1.”
  • A partner who is willing to value, feed, water, and nurture someone who is strong-willed and independent will empower them to be the best version of themselves in the long-run.
  • Guys need to learn how to capitalize on the clues being left by their female prospect and act upon them accordingly. In doing so, the woman feels safe and wanted.
  • Don’t just put roses on her car, guys. Listen to her. Listen to the nuances in conversation. Respond in thoughtful detail.
  • We must be willing to identify with our willingness to take risks and make investment for the benefit and betterment of our significant other.
  • Fight for the relationship in an argument. Don’t fight to be “right.”
